Meth Lab Removed from Cordell Home

Cordell police officers, with assistance from Washita County Sheriff's deputies, served a search warrant at a home in Cordell in the early morning hours of March 29th. Twenty-year old Anthony Wayne Neeley was arrested on charges of manufacturing a controlled dangerous substance (felony) , possession of a controlled dangerous substance (felony), possession of a controlled dangerous substance (misdemeanor), and unlawful use of surveillance equipment (felony).

Officers and deputies located what appeared to be an active lab for manufacturing methamphetamine. The equipment was seized and carefully removed from the property. Marijuana was located inside the home, along with other drug paraphernalia.

“I am pleased each and every time we can remove these dangers from our community,” said Chief of Police Daniel Allen. “I am extremely thankful to the Washita County Sheriff's Office for their invaluable assistance and to our own investigators working this case,” said Allen. “I hope this sends a strong message to those willing to break the law and endanger our neighborhoods.”

Mr. Neeley is being held at the Washita County Justice Center on $250,000 bond and is scheduled for initial appearance 04/02/2013 at 8:00am.
